Pardons (sometimes called a "gold seal")

The governor issues and signs pardons, and our office attests to his signature by affixing the signature of the secretary of state. Our office maintains records on pardons issued by the governor. First offender pardons are handled by the probation and parole offices in the district in which they occurred. Certified copies of pardons are issued when requested with a fee of $20 each.
