Corporations Section

The Corporation Section serves business enterprises by providing registration and informational assistance.  Additionally, the Corporation Section serves the public by facilitating access to all of its records and data.  The Commercial Division and the Corporations Section functions as Louisiana's filing office and repository for all corporations, business registrations, partnerships, limited liability companies, limited liability partnerships, collection agencies, trade names, trademarks and service marks.

Visit this section for information on incorporating, forming a limited liability company, registering a partnership, filing a trade name, accessing information on entities already on file, or obtaining certificates and certified copies on existing entities. Good Standing Certificates are available through our online system.

Corporation forms and samples are available for downloading in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF). Note: The corporation forms and samples contain the minimum requirements under Louisiana Law.

Search the Corporations Database for entity names, trademarks, registered agents and individual names. You can download and print Annual Report Forms or Reinstatement Forms, if due.

Administrative Services

Uniform Commercial Code Section

The Uniform Commercial Code Sections is responsible for maintaining the statewide database for UCC filings.  This statewide system connects our 64 parish filing offices ensuring that there is no wrong place to file an original financing statement. The Secretary of State does not accept filings nor provide lien searches.
