Louisiana Military Hall of Fame & museum

Louisiana Military Hall of Fame and MuseumLocated deep in the heart of Cajun Country, the Louisiana Military Hall of Fame and Museum in Abbeville is designed to honor Louisiana’s soldiers, sailors and airmen who went above and beyond the call of duty in their service to our country. The inductees into the Hall include Louisiana’s 14 Medal of Honor recipients, each with a powerful story of heroism and personal sacrifice.  Other inductees include winners of the nation’s other high military honors. These inductions are an ongoing process to help honor our servicemen and women. It is the intention of the museum to pay tribute to these heroes and honor all Louisiana veterans detailing their service in the military and heroic actions in combat. A short film highlights the stories of the Medal of Honor recipients who received the highest honor possible. The Hall features interesting items such as an original Korean War-era helicopter, a Korean-era landing craft and many more exhibits.
