Get Requirements for Ex Officio

Non-Resident Attorney Ex Officio Status (as per Louisiana R.S. 35:412)

• Application for Non-Resident Ex officio
• Oath of Office, properly executed
• Certificate of good standing from the Louisiana Supreme Court issued within the past 30 days.
• Official Signature page
• Notary bond in the amount of $10,000 approved by the parish Clerk of Court or Original Errors and Omissions policy in the amount of $10,000
• $35 filing fee

Completed documents should be mailed to the Secretary of State's office for filing.  Applicants must apply separately for each parish in which he/she maintains an office.
